Onggojib strives to keep what is ours.
With the mindset of keeping and developing the old tradition, we have completed a deep flavor of paste unique to our tradition by learning the traditional way to make Korean sauce. Every step of the process is handmade. We use Korean beans as the ingredient and ferment them in a warm room. Then mix thatched and dried fermented soybean lump and pumpkin (mushroom powder) and barley flour fermented for a year and ferment them once again in a breathing jar for a year to create the flavor of deep tradition.
The paste of Onggojib can satisfy the needs of various consumers who are tired of uniform soybean paste that can be easily seen everywhere by adding in pumpkin (mushroom). Also, compared to the regular soybean paste with strong saltiness, Onggojib’s paste includes barley flour, which saccharizes when the soybean paste goes through the process of fermentation and creates less salty but sweet and delicate flavor.
